Voice Dictation Extension
Chudo does not collect any personal data and does not track you. All your settings are stored locally in your browser. However, when you dictate, Chrome sends your audio to Google's servers for speech recognition - this is how Chrome's built-in speech engine works and is not something Chudo controls.
The extension saves two settings to your browser using Chrome's built-in storage:
These are synced across your Chrome browsers through your Google account, just like bookmarks or other browser settings. No one else can see them.
When you start dictation, Chrome asks for microphone permission on that site. Chudo itself never records or keeps your audio.
The speech-to-text conversion is done by Chrome's built-in speech engine (Web Speech API). As part of that, Chrome may send audio to Google's servers for processing. This is standard Chrome behavior and is not controlled by Chudo.
Chudo does not use analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, or any external services. There are no third-party libraries or SDKs included in the extension.
Chudo runs on all websites so it can insert dictated text into any text field you're using. The content script only activates when you interact with an editable field - it does not read or access page content otherwise.
